Mark - What is LinkedIn all about?

I had previously heard about the web site called LinkedIn, but I didn’t know exactly what it was used for. I thought it was just like Facebook until I did some research on it. Although it is similar to Facebook, LinkedIn is geared towards business needs. It is a social networking site that provides users the ability to make lists of business professional contacts they know and trust. I think this is a great site because it shows how your contacts are connected; enabling you to find the right person or company for the job you need to get done. Although you may not know the end user, with LinkedIn, you can see which contacts have a connection to reach the person you want.

Here’s a video that explains what the site is all about:

In November 2008, LinkedIn launched their new search platform. Such changes have been made as suggested search, customizable views and streamline search results.
